Viva la Verve: Sketch 2 & Mojo Monday 431

Afternoon everyone, I've been playing around the past couple of days with a couple of sketches - love both of these, and will definitely use them again, here's my cards.

The first is for Viva la Verve: Sketch 2

Loving these papers and pretty bright colour contrast...I've had so much fun the past few weeks discovering what's in my crafting stash.

Papers: Urban Prairie - Basic Grey

For my 2nd card I made a valentines card for my beloved man, that's why there is no sign of a flower in sight - a first for me :-) still cute and I'm sure he'll love it.

Sketch Saturday 395 & Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Hi everyone and what a super Saturday it has been today.

I am so excited, I've been bouncing off the walls all day..... so while popping over to Sketch Saturday to check out this weeks sketch I found out I was the winner of last weeks sketch... I'm so happy.

If you want a peek here's my card

So not only is it one of my favourite sketch blogs - well of course it is I was on the Design Team back in 2008 - 2010, but it was also my 1st post on my new blog in 5 years.
Thank you to the Sketch Saturday team for choosing my card, you've made me very happy :)x

So here is this weeks Sketch 395:

So after I'd come back down to earth from my exciting news this morning and thinking about this weeks sketch I decided to check out my old Challenge Blog - Penny BlackSaturday Challenge.

I formed this challenge blog with a friend of mine Tracy back in June 2008 and I'm so pleased to see it is still going strong.  It was with great sadness back in 2010 when I handed over the banner to the lovely Kath, who is an amazing designer so knew she would look after my baby.  In those 2 years I'd had so much fun and made lots of lovely friends, but my family life took over, and it was time to let go.

I'm so happy to see that the girls at PBSC have done an amazing job in the time I've been away and I wish you lots love and happy years ahead.

So whilst I'm trying to get back in the crafting world I thought it would be a good opportunity to get out my PB stamps and have a go at this months challenge... Anything Goes

Here's my 'Happy Easter' card - yes I know its a little early, but I'm all about getting organised this year and planning ahead :-)

Supplies:
Papers: Basic Grey - Urban Prairie & Lemonade Paper Pad
Image: Penny Black - Easter Bonnet
Lace: from my stash
Flowers: Prima & Hobby Craft

Viva La Verve

Hi Everyone, Happy Saturday.

I came across this fabulous blog Viva La Verve where they have 2 sketches per month with some great designers and prizes too.

As I am still trying to awaken my creative flare after being out of the creative world for a while, a sketch is always a great tool to work with and these sketches over at Viva La Verve are just great.

I made this card for my mum, I haven't sent it to her yet, so here's hoping she doesn't see it :)
She is such a wonderful lady and has been through so much in the last 9 months and although she has a long road ahead, in time and support from us she will be just fine.   I wanted to let her know how much she is loved and cherished.

Here's sketch 1

And here is my card

Supplies:
Papers: Paper Flowers, First Edition - Hobby Craft
Flowers: White Magnolia & Lilac English Rose, Gypsophila - Wild Orchard Crafts
S4-388 Spellbinders

I'm now off to have a go at sketch 2...... watch this space.

Crocheting, Cards & Sketch Saturday

Happy Saturday and welcome to my (new) blog.

I can't believe its been over 5 years since my last posted on my old blog (Pink Angel)... where has the time gone.   A lot has happened over those 5 years - new home, new arrivals, new job, loved ones lost and lots of fun & laughter.

So what has brought me back to blogging..... well not only have I missed my blogging buddies, I wanted to share a new passion with you as well as my cards.

Last year I discovered crocheting and I was shocked at how easy and relaxing I found it.  I've had so much fun making lots of lovely goodies for the family and have 2 projects I working on.
I remember trying to knit with my dear nan when I was little, but never got the hang of it but when one of my colleagues at work introduced me to crocheting it was completely different.  Here's a peek a couple of Infinity Scarf's

And a couple of blankets which are both working progress:

So after a few months of crocheting I realised how much I had missed making my cards. So one cold winters day in November I decided to get out my crafts and make some Christmas cards for 2015..... and after a few weekends surrounded by stamps, papers, flowers, ribbon and my pro-markers I did it.

Here's just a few of the many card's I created.

So here I am today creating my first card of 2016 and for one of my old favourites... Sketch Saturday

This is not my usual style of card but I thought I'd try something new and I like it, I hope you do to.
